Antarctic Krill oil has high levels of phospholipids, astaxanthin and is rich in omega-3 fatty acids that can be supplemented into aquaculture diets to effectively increase pigment for a range of species including salmonids, marine fish and shrimp. The Omega-3 fatty acids from krill are present in their natural forms in the oil. Astaxanthin protects animal tissues against damaging oxidation and thus reduces disease impact by strengthening the immune system.
